Speakout 3/27

Monday, March 27, 2006

I received a letter stating that H and R Block was being sued and that I could reply to the lawsuit and possibly receive some money if the court said that H and R was in the wrong. Could you please check into this for me?

A $250 million lawsuit accuses H&R Block Inc. of fraudulent marketing of its retirement accounts. The suit was brought by New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer.

This is in regards to the SpeakOut on March 17, Tickets for better cars. I think the cops are doing a great job. The noise needs to stop and it needs to stop now. I'm tired of people driving by and shaking my windows with their noise that they say is not too loud. Other towns are doing the same thing and it will hold up in a court of law. Fight it all you want, you'll just have to pay more money. I'm glad they're towing cars. Maybe it will make people think.

This is on the mile markers. I am a truck driver and the mile markers are very important. Not just for emergencies, but for break downs of vehicles so we can tell our locators where to find us on the road. But as far as having them every two tenths of a mile, that's a waste of tax money. People aren't that stupid. Sometimes they act like it. Why don't you use some of that money to put mile markers on Highway 67 where there's none at all? Miss Tonya Wells, the Relation Specialist, why don't you use some of your education to put some of them on Highway 67 and there's hardly no towns in between Crystal City and Poplar Bluff? Just a bunch of woods. How can you tell someone where you're at unless you go by trees or a big rock? Use your common sense and use Highway 67 instead of 55. Quit wasting DOT's money. Why don't they take some of the money and resurface the shoulder of the roads? You go over just a little bit and you may hit a hole that's 14 to 16 inches deep. I had to go over on the shoulder and I hit a hole that knocked my front end completely out of whack. It cost me almost $49 to get my front end realigned and everything else. If we take the Amendment Three money the way it was supposed to be spent and at least fill in the big holes on the shoulders of the interstate. Everywhere you drive on 55 and 57 there's really, really bad places. When they are doing the concrete work on the interstate, why don't they fill in those places on the side of the road? They can't help but see them?

This is about discrediting our flag. The school here has been notified about leaving the flag out when it has been raining and snowing. It's raining here today and last night and the flag is dripping wet over there right now. It's a dishonor to it and a disgrace. It shouldn't be taken in every night. They do not think anything about our flag.

I wonder if people know how important trains are to us. If we didn't have trains shipping things for us, imagine how high things would be. Cars, trucks, fresh foods and vegetables. Trucks make noise too. Whistles aren't that bad. Please, be patient.
