Living Christmas Tree program nears

Ava Huffstutler and JoAnn Peridore, members of First Baptist Church of Sikeston, decorate the base of tree for the church's Living Christmas Tree program. Opening night for the Living Christmas Tree is Dec. 1 with performances set for Dec. 2 and 3 also. Tickets are available at the church or at Paul's Christian Book Store and are $1 each with proceeds donated to a local charity. For more information call 471-1422. This year's performances are dedicated to Mary Ellen Rushing, who is in ill health. Rushing had been in event for the past 20 years. A star will be placed above her position on the tree.
