SIKESTON - Wilma Joletta Allen, 67, died Aug. 1, 2007, at her home.

Born Dec. 22, 1929, at Sedgewickville, daughter of the late Ruthford and Lucille Cook, she was a member of Miner Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class and a nursery worker for many years. She had worked at the Boy Scout Office in Cape Girardeau and at the Sikeston Middle School and was an Avon representative for many years.

On Aug. 1, 1958, she married Clarence Martin Allen, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Robert Wadlington of Benton and Cindy and Mark Hulshof of Dexter; one son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Jan Allen of Farmington; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Ed Pinkerton and Judy and Ted Clark of Jackson; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Jerry and Jane Cook of Centralia and Ron Cook of Jackson; and eight grandchildren, Blake, Austin and Lauren Wadlington of Benton, Emily, Tyler and Ryan Hulshof of Dexter and Morgan and Keegan Allen of Farmington.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Ponder Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Miner Baptist Church. The Revs. Ron Shrum and Jimmy Matthews, pastors, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
