EAST PRAIRIE -- Geneva Henderson, 80, died at 1:35 p.m. July 22, 2007, at her home.

Born July 23, 1926, at Crosno, to the late Willie A. and Maggie E. Fair Clemons, she lived most of her life in Mississippi County and was of the Baptist belief.

On Jan. 23, 1943, she married Charley Henderson who preceded her in death on Sept. 18, 1987.

Also preceding her in death were three brothers, Bernest Clemons, Elvin Clemons and Alvey Clemons; one sister, Zelma Jones; and one son-in-law, Jerry D. Leech Sr.

Survivors included: two daughters and one son-in-law, Doris and Bill Ray of East Prairie and Patsy Leech of East Prairie; two grandsons, Ricky J. Henderson of East Prairie and Jerry D. Leech Jr. of St. Louis; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation is after 6 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services will conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Larry Lane will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Jerry Don Williams, Billy Don Jackson, Richard Wheatley, Jerry Staggs, Tommy Cade and Jacob Cade.
