HENDERSON, Ky. -- Francile Fermon Ivie Spainhoward, 78, died July 22, 2007.
Born June 24, 1929, daughter of the late Fermon and Carrie Ferrell Ivie, she worked for years in area restaurants and later became a private sitter for several local families.
On June 24, 1948, she married John B. Spainhoward, who preceded her in death in September 1993.
One brother, Harrison Ivie; and two sisters, Myrtle Ivie and Ollie Ivie, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one daughter, Mary Sue Spainhoward of the home; eight sons and six daughters-in-law, John Spainhoward of East Prairie, Mo., Tony and Barb Spainhoward and Terry and Carolyn Spainhoward of Geneva, Paul and Lealda Spainhoward of Spottsville, Steve and Amy Spainhoward, Jerry and Lisa Spainhoward and Roy and Angie Spainhoward, all of Henderson; and Donald "Spanky" Spainhoward, of the home; one brother, Joe Ivie of East Prairie; two sisters, Mary Piper and Agnes Futch, both of East Prairie; and 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home in Henderson. The Rev. Bill Schwartz will officiate.
Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson.
