ESSEX - Rayburn Gene Wilson, 64, died at 8 p.m. June 12, 2007, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis.
Born May 13, 1943, at Malden, he was the son of the late Elmer Albert Lee and Elsie Ada Wilcoxson Wilson. A lifelong resident in this area, he was a retired self-employed farmer and a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve.
Survivors include: one daughter, Tammy Buxton of New Madrid; one grandson, Zackary Housman of New Madrid; three brothers, Bobby Wilson and Larry Wilson of Sikeston and Charles Wilson of Morehouse; a special person in his life, Reda Wilson of Sikeston; and her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter, Cindy and Gary Gaines and Christina Gaines, all of Sikeston.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lawanda Keeling and Shirley Bierman.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Larry Davis, pastor of Trinity Gospel Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Kenneth Bratch, Gary Gaines, Mike Brashears, Terry W. Manes, Terry L. Manes, Bobby Manes and Joe Brashears.
