Area attractions, festivals, events will be included in publication
CVB is beginning a new fiscal year. The Sikeston and Miner Convention and Visitors Bureau has changed their fiscal year to match that of the Missouri Division of Tourism.
Our new Cooperative Marketing Projects have begun with advertisements in the Midwest Traveler and Home & Away magazines.
Also we are in the process of revising and updating our Visitor's Guides and would like to request your assistance. Our current Visitors Guides contain a Welcome page, calendar of events, information on the history of our area, a listing of restaurants, RV Parks, and hotels. It also contains a map and day trips around our area.
The guide mentions our great shopping, a little on our cultural life, of course Lambert's, the rodeo, cotton carnival festival, and Beggs' Family Farm as well.
We cover our parks and recreation, movies, bowling, swimming, golf, racing and the winery.
We are planning on printing around 5,000,000 Visitors Guides within the next month and want to make sure we don't leave anything out.
If you can think of new attractions, festivals, events or anything else we should add to the guide, please give us a call at 471-6362. We have a lot of information packed into this small 20-page guide, but we want the new one to be the best ever!
