POPLAR BLUFF -- Woodrow George Bolen Sr., 90, died Dec. 9, 2007, at the Mark Twain Caring Center.
Born Oct. 2, 1917 in Truman, Ark., he was a mill worker for Himmelberger-
Harrison in Morehouse from Dec. 5, 1945, until his retirement. He was a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a volunteer for the Morehouse Fire Department for 20 years.
On Feb. 25, 1939, in Risco, he married Olline Ollie Becker who survives of the home.
Also surviving are six children: Gary Bolen of St. Charles, Jerry Bolen of Huntsville, Ala., Larry Bolen of Nixa, Linda Haley of Burbank, Calif., Mike Bolen of Sikeston and Woody Bolen of Poplar Bluff; and 26 grandchildren, 35 great-
grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at the Wappapello Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Wappapello. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston with Jerry Adams officiating.
Burial will full military honors will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
