HAYWOOD CITY -- Jessie Bell Hill, 94, died Dec. 18, 2007, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
Born Sept. 15, 1913, in Yazoo City, Miss., daughter of the late Annie Deal Taylor, she was a member of Greer Chapel Baptist Church in Sikeston, where she was a member of the mother board.
On Dec. 23, 1930, she married Walter Hill Sr., who preceded her in death.
Three sons and two daughters also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: five sons and three daugthers-in-law, Walter Hill Jr. of Oran, the Rev. T. J. and Everlena Hill of Memphis, Tenn., Paul and Leona Hill, Spencer Hill and Lewis and Ethel Hill of Florida; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Rose Lee and Jim Harris of Oran, Lucille and John Moore of California, Maggie Lee Walker of Milwaukee, Wis., and Dorothea and Joe Moore of Arkansas; and several grandchildren including two whom she raised, Matthew Curtis of Sikeston and Lurdean Nichols of Milwaukee; and several great-grandchildren, great-great-
grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from noon until service time at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Morning Star Baptist Church in Haywood City. The Rev. Alex Sims, pastor, will officiate.
