MORLEY -- Marie Hicks King, 88, died at 12:50 a.m. March 17, 2008, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.

Born Oct. 17, 1919, in Sikeston, to the late Luther and Lucy E. Matthews Hicks, she was a 1937 Sikeston High School graduate. She had worked for over 24 years as a pharmacy technician and clerk for Heisserer's Drug Store in Sikeston and had attended the Morley Baptist Church.

On March 13, 1955, in Hernando, Miss., she married Homer King Jr. who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Church of Sikeston; and two grandchildren, Emily Church and Clay Church of Cape Girardeau.

Visitation is scheduled from 4:30-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Rodney Davis, pastor of Morley Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Sikeston City Cemetery.
