CHARLESTON - Clarence "Mike" Scott, 91, died Aug. 20, 2007, at the Bertrand Retirement Home.
Born Sept. 22, 1915, in Thompson Bend, to the late Alex and Tiny Steward Scott, he was of the Baptist belief.
In 1931, he married Lillian Rush who preceded him in death in 1956.
Twelve brothers and sisters also preceded him in death.
Survivors include: nine sons and two daughters-in-law, Roy Scott of Chicago Heights, Ill., Bobby Scott, Alvin and Ruby Scott, Dennis Thomas and Jonathan Thomas of Charleston, Fred Scott of Rockford, Ill., Marvin and Sharon Scott of Cape Girardeau and Eric Thomas and Aaron Thomas of Sikeston; eight daughters and one son-in-law, Maxine Horton, Virgie Henry, Mary and Earl Farmer, Angela Thomas and Danita Thomas of Charleston, Dorothy McCall of Rockford, Elsie White of Country Club Hills, Ill., and Gwen Thomas of Sikeston; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bowden Civic Center in Charleston. The Rev. Johnny Thomas will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
Williams Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
