Juden is appointed by Blunt

JEFFERSON CITY - Gov. Matt Blunt has appointed Sikesteston's Department of Public Safety chief to a state commission.

Charles A. "Drew" Juden, 48, was named to the Seismic Safety Commission. The appointment is subject to Senate confirmation for a term ending on July 1, 2008.

Juden attended Southeast Missouri State University. He is a certified fire instructor, police baton instructor, police performance conditioning instructor and hazardous materials instructor.

The Missouri Seismic Safety Commission presents a formal annual report to the Governor and the Legislature on Missouri earthquake preparedness, response, mitigation and recovery issues.
