DEXTER -- Darla Jane Dement Varvel, 52, died Feb. 21, 2008, at her home.
Born Nov. 13, 1955, in Dexter, to Ethel Marie Bolner of Lake City, Ark., and the late Willis Pearl Dement, she was a lab technician at Kneibert Clinic in Poplar Bluff.
On July 5, 1997, in Dexter, she married Ronnie Varvel, who survives of the home.
Survivors in addition to her husband and mother include: one son, Larry Robertson of Kennett; two daughters, Sherry Ann Barnes of Springfield and Melissa Robertson of Kennett; one stepston, Robby Varvel of Puxico; one stepdaughter, Amy Baney of Puxico; a stepfather, Homer Oliver Bolner of Lake City; two brothers, Kenneth Monroe Dement of Shawnee, Okla., and Keath Eugene Dement of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Claire Jean Dement Sterling of New Concord, Ky., and Bonnie Sue Hann of Dexter; and three grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Kevin Wayne Dement and Earl William Landers.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Ken McAnulty will officiate.
