MINER -- A Miner man was arrested on felony drug charges after turning himself in Friday.
On Jan. 3, the Sikeston Department of Public Safety and the SEMO Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 413 Powell St. in Miner as a result of an ongoing narcotics investigation which led authorities to believe that Caleb Davidson, 17, was illegally distributing controlled substances.
During the search, investigators from the SEMO Drug Task Force and Sikeston narcotics detectives assisted by the Miner Police Department located marijuana, Xanax prescription medication, drug paraphernalia and over $1,800. Investigators had reason to believe Davidson was illegally distributing the controlled substances.
Scott County Prosecuting Attorney Paul Boyd charged Davidson with possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony, and distribution of a controlled substance, a class B felony.
