Speakout 12/19

Tuesday, December 19, 2006

I find it interesting that people have repeatedly responded to Say a little prayer. People have asked for recipes and sold pecans and searched for people that stole something out of their yard. That's not political is it, you idiot? Another wants to know why I belong to Pam and she does not belong to me. You can not own an angel. You can only borrow her from God.

In response to a suggestion that Mike Jensen and Jesse Jackson run for president and vice president, the Standard-Democrat replied that one of the two is a good, honest and helpful person and that the other is a minister. This was a revelation to me. I didn't know my friend, Mike Jensen, had a divinity degree, although I've long been aware of his God complex.

Actually, it's not so complex.

Portageville won the ballgame the 8th and 9th with Twin Rivers. Hadn't seen anything about that in your Standard. Do you need a reporter or something?

This is to the person who called in about the Bare box and jacket. When ever you see any animal in a distressed state as you so stated in SpeakOut, please, please inform the police. Don't just talk about the people, do something about it and you can. It is against the law for anyone to abuse any animal and there are orders against animal abuse. Check it out. These people can be fined and go to jail. The police won't check on it unless they are made aware of the animals being abused. So do your part and save these animals being abused. You can do it anonymously. People who abuse animals also abuse children. I am a very concerned animal leader. If you still need help with this situation, call the mayor. He will help you. Please save these animals.

I just wanted to tell whoever the manager is at Morehouse, your fish cooker has cooked the fish perfect every time. The atmosphere is wonderful. You did a good job with her. I think you all should keep it going. Your sales should do nothing but improve. I think it's wonderful.

There are no winners in any war. What does America win? How does America make sure terrorists never kill anyone, especially Americans on our soil? I don't think we can. We can only try to protect our people. I don't understand how Americans sent away can be the answer. Regardless of politics people want the same thing, to be safe, secure and happy.

A lot of people have been picking on Mike Jensen lately. Personally, I think he is the best publisher the Standard-Democrat has had in the last 20 years.

You failed to mention he's been the only publisher in that time.
