WASHINGTON -The U.S. Small Business Administration will offer disaster loans for communities in New Madrid and Perry counties, as well as the neighboring counties of Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Dunklin, Madison, Mississippi, Pemiscot, Scott, St. Francois, Genevieve and Stoddard in the Eighth Congressional District, and Ste. Geneveive in the Third District. Both areas were ravaged by tornadoes and flooding in 2006.
The filing deadline to return applications for property damage is Feb. 13. The deadline to return economic injury applications is Sept. 17, 2007.
Information is available at the center at the New Madrid City Hall, 560 Mott St., from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. today through Dec. 22.
