DEXTER -- Shelton Baker, 83, died Aug. 24, 2006, at Missouri Southern Healthcare at Dexter.
Born Sept. 29, 1922, at Bloomfield, he was a retired carpenter and veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force, serving in World War II.
In Jan. 1944, he married Vera Craft who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Dennis Baker of Tallahassee, Fla., one sister, Rose Baker of Bloomfield; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Saturday at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday. Kenneth Gaines will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
