NEW MADRID -- Vivian Beauton Thurman, 85, formerly of Conran, died Aug. 26, 2007, at Golden Living Center in New Madrid.
Born Jan. 29, 1922, in Boekerton, daughter of the late Paul and Alice Combest Disher, she was a member of the Conran Baptist Church, a store owner and retired postmaster of Conran.
On Oct. 18, 1941, in Clarkton, she married William Thurman, who preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 1983.
One brother, Bill Disher; and one sister, Helen Smock; also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two sons, Ronnie E. Thurman of Poplar Bluff and Billy D. Thurman of New Madrid; one brother, James Disher of Portageville; one sister, Pat Morgan of Portageville; and two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Tim Abernathy will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
