SIKESTON -- Lawrence "Tillie" Hunt, 72, died Aug. 23, 2007, at his home.
Born Sept. 30, 1934, in Pascola, to the late Horace and Ozella Baker Hunt, he was a farmer and a member of the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Canalou, where he was a deacon and Sunday school superintendent.
On Dec. 6, 1975, he married Willie Mae Smith who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: five sons and two daughters-in-law, Armster and Jessie Robinson and Willie and Ruthie Robinson of Sikeston, Terry Robinson of Warner Robins, Ga., Larry Robinson of Goose Creek, S.C., and Jackie Robinson of Compton, Calif.; six daughters and five sons-in-law, Linda and Ray Williamson, Dorothy and B.J. Blissett and Wanda Walden of Sikeston, Levern and Calvin Bell of Warner Robins, Louise and Tommy Besteda of Huntsville, Ala., and Bobbie and Jimmy Pearson of Goose Creek; one sister, Betty Hunt of Chicago; and 34 grandchildren and 70 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Green Memorial Church of God in Christ in Sikeston. The Rev. Moses Grayson, pastor of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
