ST. LOUIS -- Edith Eileen Parsons, 86, formerly of Sikeston, died at 2:15 p.m. April 23, 2007, at National Health Care in St. Louis.

Born Aug. 9, 1920, in Newton County, Ark., to the late C.A. and Ada Adella Young Ewing, she was a housewife, homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church in Blodgett.

On March 11, 1939, in Lamar, Ark., she married John Wesley Parsons who preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1993.

One brother and one sister also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Delbert and Wanda Parsons of Bertrand; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Velma Stewart of Bertrand, Doris and Ed Rushing of St. Charles and Jane and Michael Fewless of Aransas Pass, Texas; and 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-

great-granddaughter.

Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston where services will conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Glenn Cantrell, pastor of the Sikeston Community Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery.
