DEXTER - G.H. Parsons, 72, died May 25, 2006, in the Heartland Residential Care Center at Cape Girardeau.
Born Aug. 6, 1933, at Delaware, Ark., son of the late James W. and Minnie Drewrey Parsons, he was a member of the Teamsters, a retired truck driver for American Bakeries in St. Louis and of the Baptist belief.
On March 3, 1966, at St. Louis, he was first united in marriage to Bonnie Craft. In April 1985, at St. Louis, he married Evelyn Rector who preceded him in death in March 2005.
Two brothers, Clarence Parsons and Junior Parsons, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include: two daughters, Teresa Dudley of Dexter and Regina Holland of Bloomfield; one brother, Gerald Parsons of Ozark, Ark.; three sisters, Modene Derrick of Belleville, Ark., Lorene Hansel of Ellington and Irene Crader of Leadington; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Lex Horner will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Sadler Chapel Cemetery.
