CAIRO, Ill. -- Cary Clark, 98, formerly of rural Charleston, Mo., died Jan. 21, 2009, at the DayStar Care Center.

Born Dec. 23, 1909, in Eldorado, Ark., to the late George and Isabel Johnson Clark, he was a member of and served as a deacon for the Bethel Temple Church of God in Christ in Mounds.

He married Leler Main who preceded him in death.

Also preceding him in death were: one son, Cary Clark Jr.; one daughter, Rosetta Clark Johnson; and one brother and four sisters.

Survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Ollie Clark of Lansing, Delector and Betty Clark and Ronald and Karen Clark of Atlanta; five daughters and two sons-in-law, Mandy Collins and Queen Pittman of Chicago, Pearl and Don Rivas of Davneport, Brenda Brown of Galesburg and Shirley and Frank Green of Cairo; and 30 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-

great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 6-7 p.m. Friday at the Williams Funeral Home in Charleston. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Temple Church of God in Christ in Mounds with Carl Whitaker, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
