DEXTER -- The Rev. Willard VanBibber, 93, died on Jan. 21, 2008, at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.

Born Feb. 27, 1914, in the state of Arkansas, to the late Sherman and Nora Parker VanBibber, he was a member or the First General Baptist Church in Dexter. A former employee of Elders Manufacturing, he was a retired Baptist minister and a resident of Dexter. He was affiliated with the local chapter of the Christian Motorcycle Association.

On July 14, 1934, in Dexter, he married Vesta Shell, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Charles VanBibber of Tucson, Ariz.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Nancy VanBibber of Dexter and Janet and David Kinroth of Florissant; one sister, Violet Williams of Chaffee; and two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jewel VanBibber and James O. VanBibber; and three sisters, Evie Jones, Mabel Looney, and Cleola Ridge.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Kenneth Biggs officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
