CHARLESTON - Ruby M. Stark, 86, died at 5:50 a.m., Aug. 27, 2007, at the Bertrand Nursing Center.
Born June 6, 1921, to the late Charles W. and Flossie Fowler Calhoun, she had lived her entire life in Mississippi County. She had been employed for more than 30 years with the Brown Shoe Company and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Charleston.
She married L.P. "Scoop" Stark, who preceded her in death.
Two brothers, Harlan Calhoun and Donald Calhoun; and one granddaughter, Mindy Doublin also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: three sons, Charles Stark of Charleston, David Stark of Sikeston and Mike Stark of North Fort Meyers, Fla.; two daughters, Ginger Doublin of Bardwell, Ky. and Debbie Stark of Sikeston; one sister, Rudell Drake of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Gerald Penn, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church in Charleston, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery, near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be Terry Doublin, Randy Stark, Chad Stark, Stephen Stark, Austin Hays and Matt Stark.
