LILBOURN -- Opal I. Buck, 89, died Feb. 24, 2008, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born July 13, 1918, in Leachville, Ark., to the late Joe and Katie Meyers Hoskins, she was a member of the Refuge Worship Center in Marston and had spent 23 years as a nurse's aide for Headstart.

On March 21, 1934, in Cardwell, she married Marion Buck, who died on Oct. 16, 1979.

Also preceding her in death were: one son, Markie Buck, in April 1966; one brother, P.E. Hoskins; four sisters, Emma Calloway, Minnie Fletcher, Mae Rockwell and Callie Rockwell; a daughter-in-law, Bertha Buck; and three grandchildren, Dennis Buck, Benjamin Buck and Frank Buck.

Survivors include: seven sons and four daughters-in-law, Glen and Sarah Buck of Perryville, Gene Buck of Braggadocio, Dean and Stella Buck of Dexter, Jerry and Linda Buck and John and Renda Buck of Wappapello, Donnie Buck of New Madrid and Marion Buck of Portageville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Mauri Hays of Portageville and Glenda and Robert Schweizer of Sikeston; and 28 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and two great-great-

grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today at the DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday. Charlie Thacker will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Mounds Park Cemetery in New Madrid.
