KEWANEE - Ralph V. Johns, 61, died July 2, 2007, at Golden Living Center in New Madrid.

Born Feb. 9, 1946, at Matthews, to the late Jesse and Betty Blankenship Johns, he was a retired auto mechanics instructor at New Madrid County R1 Enlarged. He was a member of the New Madrid Country Club and New Madrid American Legion Post No. 595.

He married Alice Barnes Johns who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Troy Johns of Sikeston; and one daughter, Cheryl Wagoner of Wilmington, N.C.; one brother, Bill Johns of St. Louis; one half-brother, Elmer Stutler of Arvin, Calif.; and one sister, Gladys Drake of Sikeston.

Services were conducted at 2 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid. The Revs. Jack Ketcher and Jeff Long officiated.

Burial followed in the Evergreen Cemetery at New Madrid.

Pallbearers were: Harvey Graham, Don Brown, Bill Nance, Jim Russell, James White and Bob Phelps.

Honorary pallbearers was Glen Lewis.
