Jean Gooch

PORTAGEVILLE - Cassie E. Jean Gooch, 76, died July 4, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born May 23, 1931, in Conran, to the late Clarence C. and Clara B. Fields Hayes, she was a member of the J.Y. Church of God.

In 1946, at Piggott, Ark., she married Stanley Gooch, who preceded her in death on Feb. 20, 1984.

Also preceding her in death were three brothers, James Hayes, Fred Hayes and a brother in infancy; three sisters, Alice Garrison, Velma Powell and Miriam Waters; and one grandchild, Ashley Gooch.

Survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Stanley R. and Linda Gooch and Ryan S. Gooch of Portageville, and Perry and Connie Gooch of Kennett; one daughter, Pamela Dunlap of Portageville; one brother, Clarence Hayes of Ypsilanti, Mich.; four sisters, Margaret Totty Akins, Thelma Gooch and Juanita Hayes of Portageville, and Athalyn Norris of Ypsilanti; and nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 4 p.m. until time of services at 6 p.m. Friday at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville. The Rev. Clarence Hayes will officiate.
