BENTON - Kasey Mathes-Klughart of Benton, a district representative with Modern Woodmen of America, was named Rookie of the Month in the Missouri East Agency for the month of May.

The honor is given to a full-time representative that has been with Modern Woodmen of America for less than three years and is leading the agency in production.

Mathes-Klughart became full-time with Modern Woodmen's Rainwater Agency, located in Farmington, in May.

Modern Woodmen provides life insurance and annuity products to more than 765,000 members nationwide.

ST. LOUIS?- Edward Calvin Matthews IV of Sikeston has successfully passed the Illinois State Bar exam and been admitted to the Illinois State Bar.

Also Matthews is a member of the Missouri Bar and United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri. He is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and American Bar Association.

SIKESTON - The Second Annual Southeast Missouri Funeral Directors Association Golf Tournament will begin at 1 p.m at the Sikeston Country Club. This tournament in memory of Mary Margaret Story Yarbrough is a three-person scramble team effort, $150 per team. Registration and lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m.
