HOWARDVILLE -- Ida Mae Smith, 62, died June 17, 2007, at St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born June 15, 1945, in New Madrid, daughter of the late Joe Arnold and Pauline Young Jones, she attended the First Baptist Church of Howardville.
In 1985, she married Sollie Smith of Kewanee, who died May 19, 2001.
Her daughter, Patricia Ann Jones, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: ten stepchildren, Sollie Smith Jr. of Parma, Calvin Smith and Dorothy Smith of St. Louis, Darlene Smith of Arkansas, Fannie Nelson of Mississippi, Catherine Brooks, Annette Smith and Charlie Smith, all of Howardville, and Sollie Smith and Mary Kay Smith of Chicago, Ill.; five brothers and two sisters-in-law, James Young of Lilbourn, Robert Jones of Elkhart, Ind., Earnest Jones of Glendale, Ariz., Atlas and Lena Jones of Manassas, Va., and Johnnie and Christy Jones of Indianapolis, Ind.; four sisters, Margie Word of Howardville, Harriet Jones of Kansas City, Rebecca Jones of Indianapolis and Mary Jones of Glendale; one granddaughter, Miya Jones of St. Louis; and two aunts, Versell Young of Chicago and Willie Mae Neal of Bloomington, Ill.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Saturday until time of services at 2 p.m. at Ponder Funeral Home in Lilbourn. The Rev. Earl L. Grissom will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery.
