Two are killed in weekend accidents

BLOOMFIELD -- There were two fatal accidents in the area over the weekend, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Around 4:04 a.m. Saturday on Missouri Highway 25, half a mile south of Bloomfield, a car driven by Dustin W. Lincoln, 29, of Millersville, ran off the roadway and overturned. Lincoln was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene by Stoddard County Coroner Morgan Sifford.

The Patrol also reported an accident at 7:45 a.m. Sunday on U.S. Highway 62, three miles west of Campbell. A car driven by Ira N. Fautheree, 39, of Piggott, Ark., was traveling west at a high rate of speed, ran off the right side of the roadway, returned to the roadway and then ran off the left side, struck a ditch and overturned, ejecting the driver.

Fautheree was pronounced dead at the scene by Dunklin County Coroner Jack Adkins.
