Alvis McCardle

JACKSON - Alvis Lorene McCardle, 73, died at 6:36 a.m. Jan. 28, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born May 3, 1934, in Bollinger County, to the late Alvie and Alma Leggett Lazenbee, she was a retired machine operator from Florsheim Shoe in Cape Girardeau and of the Pentecostal belief.

Survivors include: one son, Hubert E. Hubbard of St. Louis; two daughters, Laura L. Murray and Loretta O'Neal of Doniphan; one brother, Willard Thiele of Delta; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and a special friend, Roy Stone of Jackson.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Manson Cemetery near Leopold. The Rev. Bertha Boyd will officiate.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.
