CARUTHERSVILLE -- Law enforcement authorities are continuing their search for a robbery suspect and seeking the public's help.
Pemiscot County sheriff's deputies were called to the Carmacs Convenience Store located at the Missouri-Arkansas state line on Sunday afternoon, according to Pemiscot County Sheriff Tommy Greenwell.
Responding deputies were informed that a substantial amount of cash had been taken from the store's office area. When authorities reviewed the surveillance tapes, they discovered a black male wearing a yellow T-shirt with red letting, blue jeans and a pair of dark colored shoes had been in the office area.
The tapes reportedly showed the suspect taking money out of cash drawers, safes and money bags and placing the currency in his pockets.
Upon further investigation, it was determined the subject entered the store at around 12:29 p.m. Sunday and walked into the office area although it is unknown how the suspect left the store area.
