CHARLESTON -- Beth Ohmes, 52, died at 10:51 a.m. Jan. 10, 2008, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.
Born March 12, 1955, at Cairo, Ill., to the late Andrew G. and Ruth Ellen Wyatt Ohmes, she lived her entire life in Charleston where she attended the St. Henry Catholic School and was a 1973 graduate of Charleston High School. A member of St. Henry Catholic Church, she had served with the Missouri National Guard.
Survivors include: one brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Joyce Ohmes of Charleston; two nephews, Anthony Ohmes and Rourke Ohmes of Charleston; one niece, Ashleigh Boyd of Columbia; one aunt, June Beal of Sikeston; and one great-nephew and three great-nieces.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until time of services at 10 a.m. Monday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. A funeral Mass will then be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston with the Rev. Scott Sunnenberg, pastor, serving as celebrant.
Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Rodney Clayton, Steve Secoy, Clifford Barborek, Richard Logan, Justin Poley and John Coon.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Lynn Brown, Larry Turley, Karen Turley, Mary Anne Clayton, Dot Secoy, Claire Secoy and Lynn Barborek.
