DESOTO - Alice Mae Stallings, 88, formerly of East Prairie, died at 1:15 p.m. July 29, 2006, in the Baisch Nursing Center.

Born April 1, 1918, in East Prairie, to the late William A. and Pearl Michie Moore, she lived most of her life in the Jefferson County area.

On Feb. 24, 1937, at Charleston, she married Alfred J. "Jack" Stallings, who preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 1993.

Also preceding her in death were: four brothers, Ralph, Charles and William "Toots" Moore and Delbert Mendehall; and two sisters, Sylvia Ray and Genevieve Decker.

Survivors include: one son, Jim Stallings of Desoto; six sisters, Letha Roberds of Pevely, Georgia Kemp, Laura Russell, Patsy Thomas, Willie B. Norman and Agnes Walker, all of East Prairie; and three grandchildren and two great-


Funeral services were conducted today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Larry Smith officiated.

Burial followed in the Odd Fellows Cemetery near Charleston.
