BERTRAND -- Jewell Kathleen Sittner, 98, died at 6:20 a.m. July 10, 2006, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Sept. 23, 1907, in Blodgett, daughter of the late Charles and Harriet Hobbs Lewis, she was a housewife and of the Methodist belief.
On March 30, 1937, she married Jesse Sittner, who preceded her in death on April 30, 1980.
One son, Sharon Raleigh Casteel, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one granddaughter, Charlotte Hartline of McAllen, Texas; two nephews, James Smith of Auburndale, Fla. and Harrison Smith of Mulberry, Fla.; and one niece, Mildred Roach of Mulberry.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Bill Meeks, pastor of First General Baptist Church of Charleston, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
