WESTVILLE, Fla. -- Virginia Geer, 92, formerly of rural Oran, Mo., died at 11:
35 p.m. May 25, 2006, at Wiregrass Medical Center in Geneva, Ala.
Born May 9, 1914, in Morley, Mo., daughter of the late Fred Emerson and Mabel Tomlinson Black, she was a housewife and homemaker. A member of First Baptist Church in Vanduser, Mo., she also taught Sunday school and was a member of the Women's Missionary Union.
On Aug. 14, 1941, in Williamsville, Mo., she married Paul Bernard Geer who preceded her in death on Oct. 5, 1991.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Don Black; one sister, Imogene Mason; one nephew, Sonny Mason; and one great-nephew.
Survivors include: one nephew, Philip Black of Sikeston, Mo.; two nieces, Meta Jean Tanner of Westville and Karen Black Mathes of Alpharetta, Ga.; and eight great-nephews and six great-nieces.
Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until time for services at 11 a.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Glen Rogers, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Vanduser, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
