Born Oct. 24, 1927, in Parma, to the late Harry J. and Welta Lewis Meier, she was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Malden and had lived in Parma most of her life except for two and a half years spent in Gulf Port, Miss.
On April 6, 1947, she married Bill Hardesty, who preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 2003.
Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Terry Lee Hardesty and Larry Dale and Traci Hardesty of Parma; two daughters and one son-in-law, Mary Frances Hardesty and Barbara Ann and Stanley Brannon of Parma; three brothers, Don Meier of Nashville, Tenn., Dennie Meier of Kelso and Ronnie Meier of Swartz Creek, Mich., eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Carolyn Powers of Parma.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Benjamin Meyer of Malden will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.
