Born July 17, 1950, in Sikeston, son of Norella Marie Graham Watkins of Morley and the late Elmer Clifton Watkins, he was a member of the Cowboy Church in Sikeston and had been a truck driver.
Survivors include: his former wife, Phyllis Ross Watkins Smith of the home; four sons and one daughter-in-law, Joe Ross of Sikeston, Mike Watkins of Cape Girardeau, David and Phyllis Watkins Jr. and Kevin Watkins of Bertrand; one daughter and son-in-law, Tomma and Rocky King of Delta; four brothers, Junior Watkins, Dan Ray Watkins and Jimmy Dale Watkins of Sikeston and Bill Watkins of Jackson; one sisters, Ann Marie Lamb of Morehouse; 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Sue Jenkins and Linda Hines; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Bootheel Cowboy Church. The Rev. J.D. McClard, pastor, officiated.
Burial followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
Ponder Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
