SIKESTON - Twelve persons were swept up off the streets of Sikeston early Thursday in the Sikeston Department of Public Safety's version of a spring cleanup.
Knocking on doors, officers arrested the individuals wanted on a variety of warrants from Scott County, New Madrid County and the city of Sikeston.
The 12 persons were processed through the DPS holding facility then relayed out to the various sheriffs' departments for court appearances.
Arrested during the roundup were: Mark Bilderback, Scott County warrant for two counts of Class C felony of passing bad check; Chester Williams, Sikeston city warrant for failure to pay, no operator's license; Desweda Carter, Scott County warrant for Class C felony of tampering with a motor vehicle.
Jimmy Daniels was arrested on a Scott County warrant for the misdemeanor driving without a license; Chester Brown, Sikeston city warrant for failure to comply with prepayment agreement and disorderly conduct; Kenneth Larsen, Scott County warrant for passing bad checks; Terrail Boyd, Scott County warrant for Class D felony of leaving the scene.
Bridgette Martinez was arrested on a Scott County warrant for failure to return leased property; Savanha Davis, Sikeston city warrant for contempt of court; Felicia Howard, Sikeston city warrant for contempt of court and failure to pay; Brian Walker, Sikeston city warrant for contempt of court, failure to pay, driving while revoked and loud noise violation; and Janet Kearby, Scott County warrant for passing bad checks.
