DELTA - Opal Lee Lanpher, 93, died at 6:55 p.m. Nov. 8, 2007, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
Born Nov. 25, 1913, at Delta, to the late Price and Minnie Hampton Montgomery, she was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church in Delta. For over 50 years she was a member of the Whitewater Order of Eastern Star No. 174 and Delta Home Extension Club.
On Oct. 25, 1932, she married Lanson Lanpher who preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 1992.
One brother and two sisters also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: three daughters and two sons-in-law, Betty Miller and Inah and Jimmy Parks of Delta and Bonnie and Howard Kinder of Jackson; five grandchildren, Steve Ikerman of Imperial, Jeff Kinder of Oxford, Miss., Troy Parks and Jay Parks of Delta and Robin Cato of Advance; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation is at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee with an Eastern Star Service to begin at 7 p.m. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Eric Hodge officiating.
Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery near Arbor.
Pallbearers will be: Steve Ikerman, Jeff Kinder, Troy Parks, Tyler Kinder, Jay Parks and Alex Parks.
