FARRENBURG - Hershel William Hardgrave, 69, died Sept. 6, 2007, at his home.
Born April 11, 1938, in Farrenburg, to Angerie Hardgrave of Farrenburg and the late E.W. Hardgrave, he was a farmer and had retired from Tetra Pak. He was a lifelong member of the Farrenburg Church of the Brethren.
On June 13, 1955, he married Melba Gene Scott, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Joseph Calabutta of Memphis, Tenn. and Cheryl and Curtis Burch of Farrenburg; one brother, Bobby Hardgrave of Clifton, Texas; grandchildren Courtney and Andy Carroll of New Madrid, Cole Burch of Farrenburg and Elizabeth Calabutta of Memphis; one very special great-granddaughter, Lynleigh Tate Carroll; and two nieces.
He was preceded in death by one son, Keith Hardgrave.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Burial will follow in the Mounds Cemetery in Lilbourn.
Pallbearers will be: Danny Farrenburg, Timmy Farrenburg, Mark Hall, Mike Hall, Steve Hall, Donald Gist and Mike Stokes.
