SCOTT CITY - Clyde Marvin Russell, 66, died at 6:36 a.m. Sept. 6, 2007, at Heartland Care and Rehab in Cape Girardeau.

Born Dec. 6, 1940, in Tupelo, Miss., son of the late William and Johnnie Lou Ivey Russell, he was a self-employed carpenter and owned and operated Russell Construction. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a member of the Eagles Club No. 3775 in Cape Girardeau, American Legion Post No. 369 in Benton and the SEMO Horseshoe Association.

Survivors include: one daughter, Karen Ziegler of Scott City; two brothers, Dennis Russell of Sikeston and Lee Russell of Parkin, Ark.; three sisters, Bernice Markley of Chandler, Texas, Peggy Johnson of Indianapolis and Ruby Caulk of Rochelle, Ill.; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and one grandchild.

Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. at the Lightner Cemetery with the Rev. John Nimmo officiating.
