NEW MADRID -- Gary Wayne Mainord, 55, died Aug. 16, 2007, at his home.
Born June 3, 1952, in Sikeston, to Jimmie Lee and Bernice Bledsoe Mainord of Lilbourn, he lived his entire life in New Madrid County. He graduated from Lilbourn High School in 1971 and was a former farmer. He was a member of the American Legion Post 595 of New Madrid and Eagles Aerie 4206 of New Madrid.
Survivors in addition to his parents include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Chrisi and James Hodges of New Madrid and Katy and Donald Hart Jr. of Matthews; one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmie "Duke" and Shelly Mainord of Lilbourn; one sisters and brother-in-law, Kim and J.R. Eubank of Bernie; three grandsons, Patrick and Peyton Hodges of New Madrid and Donald Hart of Matthews; three granddaughters, Lyndzi Smith, Maggie Langley and Deanna Hart of Matthews; and three nieces and three nephews.
Services were held Sunday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid. The Rev. Kevin Mills officiated.
Burial followed in the Matthews City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: James Hodges, Donald Hart, Heath Mainord, Kenny Joe Schaffer, Sam Barnett and Tommy Chism.
Honorary pallbearers were: Jeremy Eubank, Dale Haynes, J.R. Eubank and Don Harrington.
