ALEXANDRIA, La. - Willena H. Painter, 90, died Dec. 17, 2007, at Naomi Heights Nursing Home.

Born March 1, 1917, to the late Grover and Julia Robinson Hadder, she was a homemaker and a member of New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church in Morehouse, Mo.

Her husband, Albert Painter, preceded her in death.

One son, Ray Painter; and one brother, William Hadder also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Barbara Painter of Alexandria; one daughter and son-in-law, Dene and Jack McBride of Alexandria; two brothers, Jack Hadder of Morehouse and Frank Hadder of New Madrid, Mo.; four sisters, Mattie Morgan of Winona, Ill., Geneva Hill of Pineville, and Mary Lambert and Virginia Lambert of Sikeston, Mo.; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Deborah and John Williams of Birmingham, Ala., Michael and Linda Painter of Marietta, Ga., Mark and Jill Painter of Acworth, Ga., D'Wana and Doug Chiles of Baton Rouge, Byron and Bobbie Painter and April Painter of Alexandria, and Jennifer Painter of Round Rock, Texas; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted Thursday at Chapel Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Alexandria. Wayne Painter officiated.

Burial followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
