A day of remembrance

Larry Floyd, commander of the Sikeston American Legion Post 114, and Babs Looney, American Legion Auxiliary president, place American flags on the graves of veterans for Memorial Day. Over 1,000 American flags will be placed by the two organizations with the help of the Sons of the American Legion. Monday the American Legion Auxiliary will have a luncheon for area veterans and their families at the post on South Kingshighway after the Memorial Day service.
