SIKESTON - Steven Sisk, 52, formerly of Charleston, died at 6:54 a.m. Jan. 23, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born March 20, 1955, in Cairo, Ill., to Mickey Crosier Sisk of Bertrand and the late Charles D. "Charlie" Sisk, he had lived in Scott and Mississippi counties his entire life. He was a 1973 graduate of Charleston High School and a member of Elm Street Baptist Church. At a young age he began working in the family business, Sisk Masonry, with his father. Following his father's retirement, he continued his work as Steven Sisk Masonry until ill health forced his retirement in 2007.

Vicki Stark, his companion since July 2000, survives of the home.

Also surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Tyler Sisk of Sikeston and Stephen and Beth Stark of Fort Myers, Fla.; one daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and David Malugen of Herculaneum; one brother, Barry Sisk of Bertrand; one sister and brother-in-law, Jana and Ronnie White of Kevin, Ky.; four granddaughters, Abby, Ellie and Lilly Malugen of Herculaneum and Vivian Lee Stark of Fort Myers; one nephew, Bryan Dorsey of Barlow, Ky.; Tyler's mother, Karen Spivey of Sikeston; and many cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, Jesse and Janie Sisk and Claude and Edith Crosier.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Friday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Ted Wimberley, pastor of New Bethel Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: John Coon, Mike Jobe, Dr. Jim Heath, Larry Larue, Richard Galemore and Bryan Dorsey.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Kenny McClendon, Steve Wright, Mike Marshall, Jim Marshall, Frank Smith and Ronnie Michael.
