CHAFFEE - Jeffery Glenn Womack, 53, died July 31, 2006, at his home.
Born Dec. 24, 1952, in Sikeston, son of Tom Ford and Elizabeth McKibben Womack of Lilbourn, he had lived in various cities in Missouri, serving with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, from which he retired in 2003 after 25 years of service. Two years ago, he and his wife moved to Chaffee, where he was currently serving as Chief of Police. He also had served two years on the Jackson Police Department and four years in the United States Air Force.
On Dec. 30, 1973, in Parma, he married Marva Morgan, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son, Jeffery Adam Womack of Goldsbrough, N.C.; two daughters, Dottie Franklin of Perryville and Christina Griffin of Columbia, S.C.; and two brothers, Thomas Hale Womack of Sisters, Ore. and Kenneth Wayne Womack of Carlisle, Penn.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Missouri County Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield Dr. Bill Reed of Lilbourn and the Rev. Robert Blakely, chaplain of the Chaffee Police Department, will officiate.
Burial with full military rites will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
