DESLOGE - Robert J. "Bob" Shaw, 84, died July 25, 2006, at NHC HealthCare in Desloge.
Born Jan. 22, 1922, at Portageville, son of the late Cora Lee Roussan (Henson) and Clopha R. Shaw, he was a 1941 graduate of Leadwood High School. He was a captain in the United States Air Force where he served for 20 years. He graduated from Rolla School of Mines with a BA degree in mechanical engineering. He worked nine years with the St. Joseph Lead Company and 22 years for the Kroger Company, retiring in 1982. He was a long-time member of the First Church of God in Leadwood.
In 1942, he married Marcella Knight, who survives.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Anne Shaw of Carmel, Ind.; one daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and David Englert of Sioux Falls, S.D.; two half-sisters, Shirley Ling of Laforge and Mary Lyons of New Madrid; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his aunt and uncle who raised him after his mother's death, Joe and Emma Limp; four half-brothers and two half-sisters.
Visitation will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Boyer Funeral Home in Desloge. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Church of God in Leadwood. Ed Watson will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Leadwood Protestant Cemetery.
