Warrant roundup results in 12 arrests

CARUTHERSVILLE -- Agents from the Bootheel Drug Task Force, with the assistance of deputies from the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department and officers from Hayti, Caruthersville, and Steele police departments and marshals from the United States Marshals Service conducted a warrant roundup for individuals wanted for various drug charges in Pemiscot County Thursday, according to Pemiscot County Sheriff, Tommy Greenwell.

The roundup resulted in the arrests of 12 people in Pemiscot County. The arrests are part of on going investigations and more arrests are expected.

Pemiscot county's arrests were part of a nationwide roundup conducted by various federal, state and local agencies. The roundup is to highlight the importance of Byrne funding -- the Bootheel Drug Task Force is funded by a Federal Byrne grant -- to each states counter drug efforts.

Arrested were:

* Mark Kentner, 42, of Wardell, charged with possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in the Pemiscot County Jail with a bond of $26,000.

* Demetric Thompson, 36, of Hayti, charged with delivery of an controlled substance (crack cocaine). His bond is $25,000.

* Alfred Fisher, 41, of Hayti, charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance (crack cocaine). His bond is set at $50,000.

* Jamie Blair, 26, of Caruthersville, charged with possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), possession of controlled substance (marijuana). Her bond was set at $26,000.

* Clint Blair, 27, of Caruthersville, charged with possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), possession of controlled substance (marijuana). His bond was set at $26,000.

* Brohanda Rodgers, 36, of Caruthersville, charged with delivery of a controlled substance (crack cocaine). Her bond was set at $25,000.

* Michael Mcnees, 20, of Caruthersville, charged with trafficking in the first degree of a controlled substance (marijuana). His bond was set at $25,000.

* Leigh Ann Day, 30, of Steele, charged with delivery of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Her bond was set at $25,000.

* Ernest Brucks, 42, of Steele, charged with possession of a controlled substance (cocaine). His bond was set at $25.000.

* Tarnmy Kennedy, 41, of Steele, charged with possession of a controlled substance (pseudo ephedrine). Her bond was set at $25,000.

* Robert Simmons, 43, of Steele, charged with two counts of purchasing over 9 grams of pseudo ephedrine in a 30 day period. His bond was set at $2,000.

* Rufus Sanders, 23, of Steele, charged with trafficking in the first degree of a controlled substance (crack cocaine), and delivery of a controlled substance (crack cocaine). His bond was set at $50,000.
