STURDIVANT -- Barry D. Tomes, 41, died July 10, 2006, at his home near Sturdivant.
Born July 16, 1964, son of Mary King Harrison of Puxico and the late James A. Tomes, he had lived in Southeast Missouri all his life. He had worked at Tyson Foods in Dexter and as a cook at Lambert's Restaurant in Sikeston.
Survivors in addition to his mother include: two daughters, Kimberly Tomes of Dexter and Heather Tomes of Sikeston; three brothers, Roy Michael Tomes of Puxico, Ronnie Tomes of St. Louis and Gary Tomes of San Diego, Calif.; and one sister, Donna Golden of Fordland.
In addition to his father, his stepfather, Orren J. Harrison, preceded him in death.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Duck Creek Cemetery near Puxico with the Rev. John Tolbert of Advance officiating.
Burial will follow in the Duck Creek Cemetery under the direction of Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Puxico.
